As we approach the 2025 F1 season, it’s that time of year when everyone makes predictions. This year will be one of the best seasons in Formula One history. Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari was the most significant event in recent F1 history. This year, everyone’s eyes will be on him and how the Briton performs in the Italian outfit.
This year six rookie drivers will be on the grid and it will be interesting to see who will impress the most and who will surprise. Many predictions can be made but here are my 10 predictions for the 2025 F1 season with the rationale behind each of them.
1: Mclaren wins Constructors Championship again
McLaren will be carrying the momentum from last year’s impressive run. One thing that pre-season testing revealed is that MCL 39 is perfectly capable of replicating last year’s result. Both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri would be confident after their phenomenal form in the 2024 season. The car is way ahead of its competitors so it can be said Papaya Team should clinch the constructors’ title.
2: Intense Title Race which will be decided in Abu Dhabi
Last year Max Verstappen won the Driver’s championship for the fourth time. This was not an easy task for the Dutchman. With Red Bull’s car performing below expectations and Mclaren’s momentum in the second half of the season, it was difficult for Max Verstappen to win the title. In the end, despite all of this he managed to win it.
As we know from the testing Red Bull’s car is not at the level where the team would have wanted it to be. On the other hand, McLaren has the best car on the grid with the other teams like Mercedes and Ferrari also stepping up their game so it’s gonna be one of the most thrilling WDC battles of all time. There is a high possibility that the title will be decided in Abu Dhabi.
3: Max Verstappen Wins Titles for 5 Time
As discussed above the title battle will be intense but Max Verstappen will clinch the Diver’s title. Considering Max Verstappen’s incredible performance last year even with the below-par car proves that he can be a competitor even if the car is not that good. The other important point to consider is Red Bull’s main focus will be on Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson will just be there filling the second seat.
4: Charles Leclerc Will be a strong contender in Title Race
Charles Leclerc has consistently performed well in qualifying but is unable to piggyback in the race. This season with Ferrari’s upgrade. He will be winning more races than ever in the 2025 F1 season.

5: Andrea Kimi Antonelli to get Podium and Possibly win the race
Andrea Kimi Antenoelli has been the most impressive Rokkie considering the pre-season testing. His raw pace is incredible and he challenged his teammate. His raw talent combined with the Mercedes car creates a good chance for him to secure at least one podium or even win a race.
6: Antenoelli’s Rivalary with Liam Lawson During the 2025 F1 season
with Both Antenoelli and Lawson stepping into the F1 grid with expectations to perform. Both of them are in top of the grid teams so the rivalry would be interesting to see. Andrea Kimi is stepping in Lewis Hamilton’s shoes on the other hand Liam Lawson will be Max Verstappen’s teammate which itself is a double-edged sword. Both of them will have to prove themselves.
7: Oliver Bearman to Surprise Everyone
Oliver Bearman joined the F1 grid as Carlos Sainz’s replacement for Jeddah GP where he was impressed by his form and even scored points. Later in the year, he was confirmed by Haas and he even scored a point with them in a race. He has the potential and will come as a surprise for everyone.

8: Oscar Piastri to Win Home Race
With Mclearen’s new car, it is the perfect setup for Oscar Piastri to win the Australian GP which is his home race. He will win the Australian GP.
9: Willams to Step Up and Be a strong team with Sainz and Albon
Williams is looking to be a strong mid-field team this year. Carlos Sainz paired with Alex Albon makes one of the strongest drivers pair. Car’s pre-season testing also gave positive signals. Team principal James Vowel is keen to restore the team’s former glory. A decent car and driver like Carlos Sainz’s 2025 F1 season could be the step in changing the fate of this team. Williams is the team to watch this season.
10: Stake Sauber to remain last but score more than one point
Unlike the Williams Kick Sauber is predicted to have a disappointing season. The pre-season testing reveals that the car has too much to work on. So if you are rooting for Sauber dont get your hopes high.
