The recent end of the Emerging Asia Cup did not only shock Asia but also the world. Thrilling matches, nail-biting overs, and an overflow of emotions: it all came to an end when Pakistan A defeated India A in the final. While the efforts of all players were remarkable, some need a little more attention than others. Let’s look at the top 5 future Stars from ACC Emerging Asia Cup 2023.  

The Top 5 Future Stars:

Tayyab Tahir (Pakistan)

Although older than some players and under attack from many for his age, this player should still be considered a future star. Tahir scored a highest of 108 runs, with an average of 47.50, and a strike rate of 110.47. 

He regarded himself as the standard that the Pakistani batsmen should be showing after scoring 108 off 71 balls, which included 12 boundaries and 4 sixes, against India in the final. Now if this isn’t the confidence we’re looking for, I don’t know what is!

Sai Sudharsan (India)

Next up, Sai Sudharsan mesmerized everyone with his impactful strokes. This garnered much-needed appreciation from several current and former players. 

The highest he amassed was a total of 104 runs, with an average of 73.33, and a decent strike rate of 99.09. He has been doing very well previously too as seen by his amazing performance in IPL 2023. Sudharsan is a must candidate for the top 5 future stars.

Sufiyan Muqeem (Pakistan)

It is due to Muqeem’s bowling that Pakistan was able to emerge as the victor of the ACC Emerging Asia Cup 2023. His three-wicket attack had the Indian batting order in shambles in the final. 

He took a total of 8 wickets in the entire tournament with an average of 18.25 and an economy of 5.06. With young players like him, Pakistan surely has a bright future ahead.

Yash Dhull (India)

Dhull is one of the many talented players that have graced us with their presence. We are truly lucky to be witnessing this sort of talent. His highest was a total of 108 runs.Β He averaged at an impressive 117.00 with a strike rate of 102.18.Β 

His average was the highest of all in the tournament. Dhull also successfully captained his team to the finals of the series which demonstrates his remarkable talent.Β 

Nishant Sindhu (India) 

This Next player may be a 19 year old but he should not be taken lightly. Nishant Sidhu has been a brilliant player in this emerging Asia Cup as well as in his domestic career. 

The youngster took up 11 wickets in the tournament and came at an average of 11.81 with an impressive 3.94 economy. This U-19 world cup winner in 2019 has his name written all over the top 5 future stars from ACC Emerging Asia Cup 2023.

The ACC Emerging Asia Cup has always done justice to its name: giving emerging players a place to showcase their talent. So many great players have been identified and given the opportunities they deserved. Just like these top 5 future stars, many others deserve the same recognition.
