The ninth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy will take place in 2025. Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates will host it from February 19 to March 9, 2025. The Schedule of Champions Trophy 2025 was unveiled on Monday, 24 December.
On November 16, 2021, it was confirmed that Pakistan would host the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy as part of the 2024–2031 ICC men’s hosting cycle. However, India declined to travel to Pakistan for the tournament because of the two countries’ strained diplomatic ties, endangering the event.
Following an agreement between the BCCI and PCB, the ICC announced in an update on India and Pakistan-hosted matches at ICC events on December 19, 2024, that the ICC Champions Trophy would be held in Pakistan and at a neutral location.
According to confirmation from the ICC board, India and Pakistan matches hosted by either nation at ICC events between 2024 and 2027 would occur in a neutral location. This will also hold for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup, which India and Sri Lanka will host, and the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup, which India will host. Additionally, it was revealed that Pakistan would host the 2028 Women’s T20 World Cup, with neutral venue agreements also in place.

Schedule of Champions Trophy 2025
Along with seven other top-ranked teams from the 2023 Cricket World Cup group stage, Pakistan was automatically selected as the competition’s host. Afghanistan will participate in the tournament for the first time, while former champions Sri Lanka did not qualify for the competition for the first time.
The eight teams were split into two groups of four, each playing 15 matches against the other three teams. The National Stadium in Karachi will host the first game between hosts Pakistan and New Zealand.
The top two teams in each group will advance to the knockout stage, while the remaining eight qualified teams will play the three teams in their respective groups in two groups of four. There will be two semi-finals and a final in the knockout stage. For 19 days, 15 games will be played.

Schedule of Champions Trophy 2025 – Past Winners
Pakistan are the current champions of the competition, having won the title eight years ago. Australia and India are the most successful teams of the tournament’s history, having won the titles twice.
Among the Test nations, England, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan are the only teams who are yet to win the tournament. England have played the finals twice but failed to grab the title.
