The International Cricket Council (ICC) launched the ICC Awards, an annual award event, in 2004. The top international cricket players are recognised and commended by the awards. Let’s examine each of the ICC Awards 2024 winners.
The ICC Awards are divided into several categories. There are awards for the best cricketer in each format for both men and women and the most coveted “Cricketer of the Year” award, which honours a player’s achievements in all formats.
Jasprit Bumrah won the Cricketer of the Year award in the Men’s category after having a stellar year in 2024. Melie Kerr was the Cricketer of the Year in the Women’s category. Both winners were the Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup tournaments. Melie Kerr’s PotM was important to New Zealand as they won their first-ever ICC Women’s T20 World Cup title, defeating South Africa in the final.
