In the current PSL Season, fans wonder if T20 cricket is about to enter a new era. Ever since the PSL’s festival has been held in Rawalpindi, it has been seen that the score here is always higher than the previous one. Why is the score so high every time? Is the batting too extraordinary or is it the bowling which is not up to the mark, but why Fans are saying it is the “Ruthless pitch of Rawalpindi”? Let’s find the answer.

Ruthless Pitch of Rawalpindi: An overview

The pitches in Rawalpindi are known for their batting-friendly conditions which allow batters to score freely and pile on big totals. Over the years, this pitch has been renowned for producing high-scoring matches. The pitch is flat and true, with even bounce and little to no turn for the spinners, but many of the Cricket fans from youth are shocked to see the pitch reacting in total favour of the Batting side and that’s the reason they are calling it “Ruthless”.

Recent England vs Pakistan Test Series:

It was quite a surprise for the young generation to see these pitches when the Pakistan vs England test match was held there recently. And on the first day, England piled up 657 runs on this pitch and this surface got exposed once again that it only favours batting.

PSL 8: Pindi Pitches help the Batters

It reached its limit when the current PSL’s match was held here between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators and in the First innings the skipper Babar and Stylish Saim Ayub showcased their aggressive batting and the Ruthless pitch of Rawalpindi helping them out, and Set the target for 240 runs in a T20 game. 

But the second innings shocked everybody, when the Gladiator in purple, Jason Roy chased down this huge total in just the 19th over. Then, people started praising the hero of Purple force but on the other hand, people started criticising the Ruthless pitch of Rawalpindi.

But where people thought that a bigger score could not be made in PSL, Multan Sultans proved this thought wrong and won their two consecutive matches. In the first match, Peshawar set a target of 242 again but the Sultan of the Multan, Rilee Rossouw chased down the target once again.

But yesterday in Multan vs Quetta’s match the highest score in the PSL’S history was 262, but this time Quetta failed, and the Ruthless pitch of Rawalpindi favours Multan this time.

Cricket was invented in Melbourne and died in Rawalpindi, This is what fans are saying, some are saying these pitches are the worst nightmare for bowlers and the batters see this pitch as a paradise, The Ruthless pitch or Rawalpindi kept telling us since cricket started in Pindi that Pindi will always by on the batting side.
